Hours:
 Winter hours are usually limited and can change quickly due to power outages and other weather issues. Please refer to our facebook news feed page for updates on our hours or call ahead if you are coming from a long distance.
Westport Aquarium Spring open hours:
Saturday 11-4pm
Sunday 11-3pm
(Often as long as you get in the door by 3 we will stay later.)  
** Also open extra hours for our local spring break:
Monday March 31st and Friday April 4th 12-3pm**
Also Open Wednesday April 9th 3:30 to 6pm and Friday April 18th 3:30 to 5:30pm  for Our ROV program, see more information in upcoming art and science programs section. 
*** Also open April 18th from 6-8pm for our America 250 Paul Reveres Ride program. Free candelight tours of the aquarium and make a free commemorative print on our c. 100 year old Willits Canoe Company  printing press. 
Also join us from  10 am to 12 noon Sunday April 27th for our Pinhole Photography program. See more information on our art classes page.

*Westport is a traditional fishing town and Aquarium hours follow the fishing seasons very closely. Westport Aquarium hours typically follow the charter fishing seasons. If you are visiting from out of the area or your work schedule doesn't allow for you to visit us on the weekends in the winter, email us at [email protected] or call us at 360-268-7070 and leave us a message with the date and time you would like to make an appointment to see the aquarium. We will get back to you to verify your appointment.  (Admission rates still apply.)

Upcoming exciting events and Education Programs. Join Westport Aquarium  and their fabulous community partners for these wonderful programs: 
We will be bringing supplies to make Decorator Crab puppets, and we will bring a mini crab tank to this fabulous event at the Westport Timberland Library from 11-12 noon on February 24th 2024

He has a new movie coming out The Siege of Ape Canyon created by Small Town Monsters. We are in the process of planning a date to watch it in a movie theater or two. stay tuned. When we have the Movie Theater date we will post it here. It will also be available for streaming soon. 

Join Us April 18th 2025 From 6pm-8pm for the 250 year commemoration of Paul Reveres Ride. We will have free candelight tours of the aquarium and you can make a special commemorative print on our c. 100 year old Willits Canoe Company printing press.  All around the United States on this weekend people will be commemorating this event by putting two candles in their windows the same way Paul Revere did 250 years ago in the Old North Church in Boston to notify the people of the British coming via The Charles River, by the end of the next evening, according the the NPS.GOV website, the revolutionary war began.  
We are excited to announce that we have a c.100 year old Willits Canoe Company Printing Press on loan from Foss Waterway Seaport Museum, and we are taking it to schools, museums and libraries across the state in the next three years leading up to America 250 in 2026. Visitors are invited to try making their own print with the Printing press and we are teaching visitors how to make their own picture stamps that can be loaded into the press. So far we have visited over 14 libraries, museums and schools in Washington State and Oregon, and over 1000 people have made prints on the press! If your Museum, School or library would like us to bring the printing press to you let us know. Email us at [email protected]

The Westport Aquarium 

is Washington state's oldest public aquarium, built in 1955, has a year round display of fish from the local pacific waters, including a touch tank, hands on interpretive exhibits and much more. The aquarium always has free crafts at a craft table for all ages to enjoy in the gift shop too.

VISITING THE LOCAL SEA LIFE ON EXHIBIT, YOU ARE ALSO SEEING THE LOCAL FISHING INDUSTRY ON DISPLAY AS WELL. WESTPORT, WASHINGTON ENJOYS ONE OF THE LARGEST FISHING COMMUNITIES ON THE WEST COAST. THE AQUARIUM WOULDN'T BE HERE WITHOUT IT.
